Malaspina Printmakers Society here in Vancouver was having its biennial fundraiser called 101 Prints, where each ticket sold sees the Gala ticket holder leave with a print according to the order in which their name is drawn. This makes for quite an event; and plenty of people were on hand for great food, some cool jazz, and the chance to take home their favourite print from a selection of 101 donated works of art.

The print I donated for the event was from the series produced both at Engramme, during the summer of 2012, and as an active member of MPS since my arrival to town.

The 101 Prints fundraiser took place at the Roundhouse Mews, on Friday September 5th, from 7PM to 11PM. (Click on the image to be linked to the VIMEO video of the event.)

Le centre d’artiste Malaspina Printmakers Society a organisé une soirée-bénéfice qui s’intitulait 101 Prints. Les participants doivent attendre leur tour avant de pouvoir choisir l’impression de leur choix, une fois leur nom tiré du chapeau. C’est donc un peu stressant, mais la soirée est accompagnée d’hors-d’oeuvres à volonté, d’un trio de jazz, et d’amis, bien sur.

L’oeuvre dont j’ai fait don pour la soirée était tirée de la série qui a été crée, en partie sur les presses d’Engramme de Québec, et ici à Vancouver, à la société même.
