I’ve been recently awarded an eight month scholarship residency through the Malaspina Printmakers Society here in Vancouver. Here’s a short description of the final project, and I’ll put up images as the print is being made:

Post-Fordism consists of producing a large format relief monotype by utilizing a single plywood panel where the matrix was sculpted in deep recesses. The paper used for this print is made up of archival studio trimmings, donated by Peter Braune of New Leaf Editions, which have been pulped and cast in a unique mold built to suit the 42 X 42 inch plywood matrix. My intent is to continue integrating various printmaking techniques into my present sculptural practice that challenges the history of Post-modernist painting.

Le centre d’artiste Malaspina Printmakers Society de Vancouver m’a récemment octroyé une résidence d’études de huit mois afin d’entamer un nouveau projet d’impression en relief.  

Le projet s’intitule Post-Fordism et consistera de faire un moulage d’un panneau de contreplaqué en relief avec du papier sans-acide récupéré par Peter Braune du studio New Leaf Editions sur l’isle Granville. Voici une image du panneau en question et j’ajouterai des images à fur et à mesure que le projet avance. Mon but est de toujours pousser l’histoire de la peinture post-moderniste en intégrant des techniques sculpturales et d’impression.
