CHOP: A POP UP SHOP @ MALASPINA PRINTMAKERS, VANCOUVER (2016-2017)

Presented for the holiday season, and continuing into the new year until April 2017, is CHOP: A POP UP SHOP, taking place in the Malaspina Printmakers gallery space. The exhibit features framed consignment prints both from the in-house collection, and through an open call that took place in the Fall.

For the occasion, I’ve put up for sale a print from the series I first completed when arriving in Vancouver, following a summer residency at Engramme, the Quebec City artist-run centre devoted to contemporary printmaking.

Malaspina Printmakers Society is a non-profit artist-run centre that was incorporated in 1975 by a group of printmaking students, fellows and instructors from the Vancouver School of Art (now the Emily Carr University of Art + Design). In the past 40 years, Malaspina has developed into a resource centre for print culture by building strong relationships with artists and other print organizations throughout the world, and its programs have been expanded beyond exhibitions to include rentals, workshops, mentorships, archives, scholarships, collaborations, residencies and sales.
