88 ARTISTS FROM 88 YEARS @ RBC MEDIA GALLERY, ECU (2017)

Here are a few photographs of the vitrine I helped prepare for the inaugural exhibit that took place at the Michael O’Brian Exhibition Commons and RBC Media Gallery, in the newly opened building of the Emily Carr University of Art and Design: 88 Artists From 88 Years.

Organized in part by Kathy Slade and other members of the current faculty, the show consisted of works by 88 previous graduates of ECU. For this part of the exhibit, our current executive director, Justin Muir, was asked to select a print by one of the founding members of the Malaspina Printmakers Society, due to it being created by previous faculty and graduates of ECU in 1975. For the occasion, a lithograph by founding member Bob Evermon was chosen: Poptops (1977), and I prepared the archival material that was shown in the glass case.
