I ended up making a second, new piece to be included in the group show ‘No Memes No’ that took place at HOT ART WET CITY: Double D. Working from my previous piece to be included in the show, METOPE (5), which was meant to respond to the several Quebecois exhibitions of postcolonialist tendencies that took place in 2012, my intent was to create further dialogue on the topic as a recent West Coast exhibition, run by UNIT/PITT Projects, also broached the subject.

Pour l’exposition ‘No Memes No’, qui a eu lieu à la galerie HOT ART WET CITY de Vancouver, j’ai créé une deuxième, nouvelle pièce intitulée Double D. En m’inspirant du panneau qui a été sélectionné pour l’exposition, METOPE (5), que j’ai créé en 2012 en réponse aux différentes expositions post colonialistes qui faisaient surface à l’époque au Québec, j’ai voulu produire un diptyque qui continuait le dialogue puisqu’il y a eu un expo présenté par UNIT/PITT Projects qui abordait un sujet semblable ici à Vancouver.
