During the month of May, I was employed by the BC Francophone Youth Council (CJFCB) to conceive and deliver a three-day workshop describing an aspect of my artistic practice. I thus put together a series of lectures and demonstrations on both stencil and ‘Hard Edge’ painting techniques so that the student participants could help me create two separate works on mounted plywood panels.
The ‘Stencil Graffiti’ workshop was given during the 21st Francophone Games of British Columbia (JFCB), taking place at the Au-cœur-de-l’île school in Comox, BC, on the 17th to the 19th of May. The pieces to be produced were to have an all-over motif on the one hand, and a Hermann Grid layout on the other, and the results far exceeded my expectations!

Le mois dernier, j’ai été mandaté par le Conseil jeunesse francophone de la Colombie-Britannique (CJFCB) afin de concevoir et de délivrer un atelier de trois jours portant sur un aspect de ma pratique artistique. J’ai donc préparé une série de présentations et de démonstrations sur mes différentes techniques du pochoir et de la peinture ‘Hard Edge’ pour que les participants du secondaire puissent m’aider à créer deux oeuvres sur des panneaux en contreplaqué.
L’atelier de ‘Graffiti au Pochoir’ a été donné lors des 21e Jeux francophones de la C.-B. (JFCB) 2013, qui se sont déroulés à l’école Au-cœur-de-l’île de Comox, C.-B., du 17 au 19 mai. Les œuvres à produire devaient avoir un motif ‘all-over’ d’une part et d’une grille d’Hermann de l’autre, et j’ai été ébloui par les résultats!
